This past weekend, a 24-year old man was found unconscious at the Global Gathering in Warwickshire, England. Police and paramedics declared him dead on arrival and while the cause of death has yet to be determined, there will be a follow-up examination. The Oxford music festival was attended by as many as 40,000 people and included performances by Skillrex, Afrojack, Tinie Tempeh and others. Global Gathering is the annual worldwide electronic music festival. Angel Music Group hosts the dance concert series and shows are held in Europe, in countries such as the United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Global Gathering started in 2001 and organizers of the event wanted to expand the energy of dance music found in clubs to the outdoor music festival scene. Global Gathering is considered to be the UK’s top-tier music festival for dance music artists and boasts a host of talented DJs.
