Florence Welch, lead singer of Florence and the Machine, announced that she has been working on a new dance music project called Simply Side Project.
Welch described her new project to Digital Spy:
We actually have a dance outfit side project called Side Project. We made this weird house track that sounded quite churchy – to be confirmed! As yet it has never seen the light of day
Welch is currently touring with the band. The band is performing their second album, Ceremonials. They recently released a new live album on April 9, which was recorded at the band’s MTV Unplugged performance late last year. Florence and the Machine is currently touring with the band, The Weeknd.
