Laura Marling has just finished writing her new album and plans on releasing the new album in 2013.
According to nme.com, she completed writing the album, and now is recording it with her producer Ethan Jones.
Marling said to The Owl:
I finished writing a new album about a month ago. At the moment I’m in and out of the studio working with Ethan Johns. It will probably be released in about 6 months.
The singer is scheduled to perform in the UK on July 7th and she is also scheduled to perform at the Latitude Festival.
In an interview with theowlmag.com, Marling admitted to her difficulty in finding a balance between leaving the audience wanting more and stopping her set to early. She feels that her shows go on for too long.
When asked about her writing, she responded:
I used to think it was not something I could take seriously and spend my life doing. But I’m getting more of an appreciation for the importance of creative people. I think it’s a simple human ability and way to communicate with each other.
