The Flaming Lips Cover “Knives Out” in Support of Radiohead After Stage Collapse

In light of the recent stage collapse that took place before a Radiohead concert in Toronto, The Flaming Lips chose to cover Radiohead’s “Knives Out” in honor of drum technician Scott Johnson that died.  The Flaming Lips performance took place at Toronto’s North By Northeast Festivals and Conference.  Watch the video below.

As reported by Pitchfork, this nice gesture by The Flaming Lips also included some heartfelt words by frontman Wayne Coyne. “This unspeakable thing that happened…it can’t help but affect our mood tonight,” Coyne said. “All of our thoughts and all of our collective good karma goes to them…and to the families of those who were hurt.”
