Buzzcocks Reunite with Original Singer Howard Devoto For First Live Performance Together in 33 Years

The English punk rockers of the Buzzcocks were once popular in the Manchester scene and it had been a few decades and then some since the original power house performed for a crowd. Howard Devoto, the first frontman of the group, brought back the original sound to the O2 Apollo on May 25. Read on to catch a clip of this blast from the past.

He performed the entire Spiral Scratch album, with the addition of a cover of “I Can’t Help Myself” by the Troggs.

Devoto’s musical passion enticed him to become the original pioneer for post-punk group, Magazine, as well as Luxuria, dominating the 80’s in the UK. His work and collaboration with several different band mates allowed Devoto to create a credible reputation for himself. Reuniting with the old gang was an honorable tribute to his years of glory and a great testament to his accomplishments.
