To mark the 20th anniversary of Core, the Stone Temple Pilots have released details regarding a tour that would include a performance of the groundbreaking album in full. Although the tour’s dates have not yet been specified, it appears that the Pilots will be hitting the road this upcoming September. More details after the jump.
Here’s what Scott Weiland had to say about the tour when speaking with the Rolling Stone:
I think it’ll be really fun, because the one thing that I got tired of was sort of playing the same basic set list every night. It was like ‘the hits.’ This way, it’s something different, and I think it will be cool.
In unrelated STP news, it appears that a new album is on the way. Although the title and release date are currently unspecified, it appears that their forthcoming tour will give them a chance to support the release of their new album.
