Since news is anything but short of Courtney Love-related news these days, we’ve got one more for all of you. It appears that the singer of Hole has lost the intellectual property rights to profit off of Kurt Cobain’s name, image or music to her estranged daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
As reported by Prefix, it appears that all of this was caused by Courtney Love’s mounting legal debts. She stepped down as acting manager of End of Music LLC, which holds all of Cobain’s intellectual property, to acquire a $2.75 million loan from Frances Bean’s trust fund. It appears that until this debt is payed, Courtney Love will have no rights to use anything related to Kurt Cobain.
