Via Consequence of Sound – Remember when Ben Folds had a band? Well, they’re back together and recording a new record. Check out the details after the jump.
This will be the first album from the group since 1999 (The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner). The group had previously reunited to work on Ben Fold’s new retrospective, Best Imitation of Myself. Ben Folds Five is, amusingly, a trio (Robert Sledge, Darren Jessee, and Ben Folds himself). They released four full length albums between their formation in 1993 and their 1999 finale.
Folds told fans via twitter that the fruits of this reunion will be released sometime in Spring.
