Death Cab For Cutie have just announced quite the unique tour for this spring where they will be accompanied by San Francisco’s Magik*Magik Orchestra. More details about the tour after the jump.
No doubt, Magik*Magik Orchestra’s additions to Death Cab’s set will make the tour something quite special. Magik*Magik Orchestra are known for their innovative style and collaborative work with the likes of Mike Patton, John Vanderslice, The Walkmen, and The Dodos. Magik*Magik Orchestra also did all of the string arrangements on Death Cab’s Codes and Keys, so they already have familiarity in working with Ben Gibbard and the rest of the Death Cab crew.
The tour kicks off April 10 in Denver and will culminate with a homecoming show at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. Youth Lagoon will jump on the tour as the accompanying act beginning April 27 at NYC’s Beacon Theatre and carry out the rest of the tour with Death Cab. The full dates are included below.
