Over at the Under the Radar party, quartet Taken By Trees had an even calmer approach to their music. Eschewing traditional guitars in favor of pedal steel slide guitar, the band took the pop country standard and used it to punctuate their quiet indie. Between that and their punchy basslines, the band is a quality, and at worst mid-tempo offering.
