Singer/songwriter Rosie Thomas is very busy these days. She has paired up with Sufjan Stevens for the first of a Hit and Run series. Thomas has also released a new album called With Love, and she will be showcasing that album on tour beginning today.
Both Thomas and Stevens are from Michigan, and the two decided to collaborate on two songs for Hit and Run Volume 1, the first entry in their split 7″ series. The first is “Where Were You?”, which is a version of Thomas’s track “Where Was I?” from her newest album. The second song is Steven’s “Here I Am.”
At the same time, Thomas has produced her own album, the first in four years for her. With Love is centered around the transformative powers of love. The music was partly influenced by Thomas’s battle with a thyroid disorder that led to severe anxiety. As she begins her national tour, Thomas will introduce her audience to these ten new songs that portray her own true personality.
