Reunited post-punk rockers Swans have announced that their new album will include appearances by Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker (of Low), as well as Karen O (of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs). All this per Pitchfork – more details after the jump.
The new album is reportedly a long one, with a running time of around two hours and individual tracks lasting as long as thirty minutes. It’s set to be released as a double CD and triple vinyl LP.
Meanwhile, Swans frontman Michael Gira is touring on his own to support his recent solo compilation, The Milk of M. Gira: Collected Solo Home Recordings 2001-2010.
