The official lineup for the 2012 Pickathon Music Festival has just been announced. The festival is set to take place August 3-5 at Pendarvis Farm in Portland, and will feature Neko Case, Dr. Dog, Blitzen Trapper, Vieux Farka Touré, and more. Details after the jump.
The Pickathon Festival has built a reputation for itself by being one of the prime indie-roots festivals in the country. The festival is environmentally friendly, advocating sustainability in a day an age where most festivals do considerable damage to the environment. Some other big names at the festival include A.A. Bondy, The Wood Brothers, Phosphorescent, The Cave Singers, Abigail Washburn, Cass McCombs, Bowerbirds, Handsome Furs, Langhorne Slim, and Lost Bayou Ramblers featuring Gordon Gano.
Three-day passes have already gone on sale, you can head over to the Pickathon website to make a purchase. One-day passes will go on sale at a later date, suggesting that the festival has a preference for festival-goers interested in the full Pickathon experience.
