Lil Wayne is slated to perform an intimate invite-only event at SXSW in connection with his new endorsement deal with Mountain Dew.
After Jay-Z and 50 Cent, Lil Wayne becomes the third mega rapper performing at SXSW this year. His performance will be directly related with the launch of his new DEWeezy campaign, an endorsement deal with Mountain Dew that includes advertisements and a new skate park in New Orleans.
The event is Invite-Only and will take place on Thursday March 15.
This new endorsement marks a new point in Weezy’s career. Since being released from prison he has reportedly quit drugs and alcohol and spends most of his time skateboarding. He released Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape and Tha Carter IV last year.
