Greg Laswell Announce New Album Landline for April 2012 Release

The Californian musician Greg Laswell has announced that he will be releasing a new album on April 24th.  His fourth full album Landline will feature Ingrid Michaelson, Sia, Sara Bareilles, and Elizabeth Ziman.  Laswell does it all on this album: writing, singing, and producing the songs.

Throughout his career, Laswell’s music has been featured in many TV shows and films, including Grey’s Anatomy and Friend’s With Benefits.  After graduating from college, he joined a band called Shillglen, but then moved on to a solo-career.

Landline was recorded in a church-turned-house in Maine that is owned by his wife’s parents.  The 11-track album’s title stems from the fact that Laswell was forced to use landlines to communicate while in this Maine house since he didn’t get cell phone service.  By collaborating with female singers, Laswell brings a new hip-hop personality and energy to his music.
