With less than a week before SXSW 2012 events kick off, new exciting announcements are still rolling in. It has just been announced that Tenacious D will be making an appearance in Austin for a special performance at The Haven on Thursday, March 15.
For those who are not in the know, Tenacious D is a comedy rock band comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Most people know them for their hit film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, though they have also been known to put on awesome live shows. Tenacious D is hitting the road in support of their forthcoming album, Rize of the Fenix, which hits stores May 15 via Columbia.
Unfortunately for the Austin crowd, only badge and wristholders will be granted admittance to their show at The Haven. For those who won’t be attending SXSW 2012, there are going to be a slew of shows and festivals that the band will be playing in May and June. Check out their tour schedule below.
