New Documentary on the Libertines Funded Within 24 Hours

It didn’t take long for the makers of There Are No Innocent Bystanders, the new full-length documentary about UK rockers The Libertines, to find the funding they needed for the film’s release. In less than 24 hours, indie moviemakers Pulse Films and direct-to-fan music company PledgeMusic reached their fundraising goal.

The movie will be premiered in a unique manner – a multi-city tour of the UK, during which fans will get the chance to see the movie played at various music venues. Complete dates for those events are included below. Those shows will predate the movie’s theatrical release, which is planned for April.

The release was funded by a drive on PledgeMusic. The goal was reached in less than 24 hours, but they’ll still be happy to take your money over on PledgeMusic, where you can also find many other worthy causes.

There Are No Innocent Bystanders was directed by music photographer Robert Sargent, and focuses on the band’s 2010 reunion.
