The Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced that they will be touring America with the band C.U.B.A. The tour will support the duo’s newest album Area 52, which contains nine of Rodrigo and Gabriela’s favorite songs rearranged and recorded in Havana, accompanied by a 13-piece Cuban orchestra.
Blending metal, Latin, and jazz, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero have gained acclaim performing in Dublin’s pubs and bars. They create their music by fusing various influences. The duo met when they both played in the band Tierra Ácida, and they decided to move to Europe together to find a more free music scene.
