The 90s alternative group Luscious Jackson is back together and slated to release their first studio album since 1999’s Electric Honey. Stream their first new track after the jump.
The group promises that their new music will be in keeping with their string of 90s releases. “Our mission is still the same: to mix up our favorite music – hip hop, 70s punk and soul, dance pop and anything we feel like,” explains singer and bassist Jill Cunniff.
The new track is called “Are You Ready?” and it’s streaming right now on Rolling Stone‘s webpage. The band is releasing their new material through PledgeMusic, forgoing the traditional label track (prior to their breakup, the band was signed to the Beastie Boys’ now-defunct Grand Royal label).
