Choir of Young Believers Announce New Album Rhine Gold for March 2012 Release

Jannis Noya Makrigiannis project Choir of Young Believers has announced the release of their sophomore album Rhine Gold, due out from Ghostly International on March 20. The group has also announced set of U.S. tour dates, including a stop at this year’s SXSW Festival.




The Copenhagen-based group’s debut album This Is for the White in Your Eyes was critically acclaimed, and Rhine Gold is touted as expanding on the foundations of its predecessor. The band consists of founder Makrigiannis and cast of rotating players, and 2009’s ensemble was named ‘Best New Act” at the 2009 Danish Music Awards.

The group has made the track “Nye Nummer Et” available for download at Paste.com. A second track, “Patricia’s Thirst” is also available for download via Stereogum. Check out their full North American tour dates and Rhine Gold tracklist below.
