Fiona Apple To Perform at Pitchfork’s Official SXSW Showcase at the Central Presbyterian Church

It has just been announced that Fiona Apple will be headlining the Pitchfork Showcase at SXSW 2012.  The influential singer is set to perform in Austin on March 15 at the Central Presbyterian Church.  The show starts at 8 PM and only those with SXSW badges and wristbands will be admitted.

Many will notice that Fiona Apple has been out of the game recently.  Her last release was 2005’s Extraordinary Machine and she has played a very limited amount of shows since 2007.  It’s likely that Fiona’s coming out of her shell to promote a new album, which isrumored to surface in 2012.  Whatever the case, SXSW attendees should jump on the opportunity because she’s a tough one to catch live and the venue only holds about 400 people. We’ll keep you posted as more details about the lineup surface.
