Little Mighty Rabbit, The Lords of Acid’s first record in nearly a decade, is as sexually charged as the electro-industrial band’s previous recordings, full of jaw-dropping lyrics about everything from foot fetishes to the titular, rabbit-eared creature. The EP includes three original tracks—“Little Mighty Rabbit,” “Drowning in Ecstasy,” and “Sole Sucker”—along with nine artists’ remixes of the title track.

“Little Mighty Rabbit” is one shocker of a song for those who aren’t familiar with the band, but it certainly sets the stage for the rest of the erotic album. With gritty electronic samples and the band’s characteristic industrialism, DJ Mea’s praise of her favorite sex toy seduces listeners into an aurally sexual experience. “Drowning in Ecstasy” and “Sole Sucker” maintain this musical pornography, which is most graphic in the foot fetishism of “Sole Sucker.”

Each of the “Little Mighty Rabbit” remixes uses elements of different musical subgenres to create a distinctive tone. While some were better than others in terms of maintaining the original track’s identity within the context of the artist’s own style, others like the Suburban Secrets Mix and the Smell-O Kitty Mix reframe it with a tone unlike the rest of the album. Still, the common strain remains the grinding electronic beat that really emphasizes by the sultry lyrics of female vocalist DJ Mea.

Little Mighty Rabbit is what you’d expect to hear at the type of event your parents warned you about before leaving the house at night. If ever there was an official soundtrack to an indulgence in sexuality, Little Mighty Rabbit would more than likely be it.
