Corey Taylor’s Collaboration With Dave Grohl Is For A Documentary On Sound City Studios

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has released additional details about his collaboration with the Foo FightersDave Grohl. According to Artisan News Service, the two are collaborating as part of documentary about the legendary Sound City Studios.

Earlier this month, Taylor announced that he, Grohl, and Nirvana producer Butch Vig had just completed a song. Though the full scope of the collaboration was not known at the time, we now know that the project is a part of the forthcoming documentary.

As previously reported, Grohl initially hinted at the collaboration indistinctly, keeping fans waiting for additional news. This is not the first time that Grohl collaboration has been released in a series of vague announcements, though Antiquiet may have sussed this one out well ahead of the game with a January prediction about the Sound City documentary.

“Dave is doing a documentary about the legendary board from Sound City,” Taylor told Artisan News Source. “He’s slowly but surely gotten all these people together to make music on that board again.”

Fans will have to keep playing the waiting game on the film and its accompanying soundtrack’s release dates.
