Rising from the dead, Tenacious D has announced that they are releasing a new album called Rize of the Fenix this May. After six years of hiatus, the California rock band is returning to the limelight.
Tenacious D is made up of Jack Black and Kyle Glass (along with various band members) and has produced two albums prior to Rize of the Fenix. After forming in 1994 as an acoustic duo, Tenacious D went on to star in a television series and eventually incorporated more rock in their music. Critics have labelled their music as “mock rock” for their combination of rock and vulgar comedy.
