The Wisconsin band Garbage has announced the dates for their upcoming tour, which will celebrate the release of the group’s fifth album, Not Your Kind of People. Known for their handle on alternative rock, the group has received praise from Rolling Stone, MTV, and VH1. It has topped UK charts with some of their singles.
The band is made up of Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, Duke Erikson, and Butch Vig. All four members partake in the song writing and production of the band’s music. Garbage melds multiple styles together to create their unique music. They showcase influences from grunge, electronic, alternative rock, and even pop.
According to V Magazine, “the poster girl for ’90s alternative rock is ready to reclaim her reign – and the radio – with a new record from her iconic band, Garbage.” Despite past separations, the band was ready for the reunion; “Working with Garbage again was very instinctual,” said Erikson.
