Katy Goodman of La Sera and Vivian Girls has been learning how to program on Ruby. With her newfound knowledge in coding, she has created a fun little adventure game for her fans.
Katy Goodman made this adventure game available to fans via her blog. Now, you can see if you have what it takes to come on tour with Vivian Girls by responding to the simple questions asked in the game. Think carefully before responding, or you may get an answer like, “Get the fuck out of here. We hate you.”
Though the game is a simple text program, Goodman promises that she will update her Twitter page as she gets better at coding. This adventure game is dedicated the game to her tour managers, Mark O’Donnell and Bram De Keyzer
Directions for Mac OSX:
1. Download the file! Right click and save THIS FILE. Save it in your Downloads folder. Hit “enter”.
2. Open your Terminal application. (if you don’t know where this is, just do a search for “terminal”)
3. Go into your Downloads folder by typing “cd downloads”. Hit “enter”.
4. Type in “ruby viviangirls1.rb” (feel free to copy and paste that)
5. Enjoy! It should take you about 2 minutes to play.
