There’s good news for Crazy Horse fans. Neil Young has rejoined the group and finished recording a new album that could see a Spring 2012 release.

As part of its Morning Coffee Master Class, an interview was held with Neil Young and Johnathan Demme at the Slamdance Film Festival. Young revealed that a new studio album is on the way for Crazy Horse, but gave no clue as to what to expect, or a definite release date. The only slight hint was that he has recorded some tracks with the group and a youth choir.
Young, a Canadian musician, is most widely known for his success as a solo artist, as well as previous work with Crazy Horse, and Buffalo Springfield. He has won numerous Juno awards in Canada for his work including, Artist of the Year (2011), Adult Alternative Album of the Year (2007), Best Male Artist (2001), and Album of the Year for Harvest Moon (1994).
