Never tiring of collaborations, The Flaming Lips are at it again, this time partnering with Bon Iver and Erykah Badu. In the past, the Oklahama rock band has worked with Ke$ha,Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, Nels Cline, and Lightning Bolt, to name a few. The Flaming Lips plan to showcase their newest collaborations with Bon Iver and Badu in an album that is set to drop April 21.
Known as “The first lady of neo-soul,” Badu incorporates R&B, hip hop, and Jazz into her music. Often compared to Billie Holiday, the singer will add an entirely new sound to The Flaming Lips’ album.
