Indie group School of Seven Bells are set to release their new album, Ghostory on February 28, 2012. As mentioned here, they are setting out on a tour in promotion of the record.
Begun between members Benjamin Curtis (guitar), and twins Alejandra (vocals) and Claudia Deheza, Seven Bells made its debut in 2008 with Alpinisms. This was followed by 2010’s Disconnect from Desire. Since then, Claudia has left the group. Their newest effort Ghostory is coming out in February on Vagrant Records/Ghostly International. About the album’s title, Alejandra Deheza said this:
“Everyone has ghosts…They’re every love you’ve ever had, every hurt, every betrayal, every heartbreak. They follow you, stay with you.”
After having wanted to make music for haunted houses, this record defines the group’s sound for sure, and sets them up for a great 2012.
