Orbital Announce New Wonky For April 2012 Release

Electronic icon Orbital have announced their release date for their new album New Wonky as well as the dates for their upcoming UK tour.  The British champions Paul and Phil Hartnoll have reunited to produce the band’s first new album in eight years.  Building on their acclaimed electronic dance music, Orbital has incorporated a modern spin in their newest album.

The brothers succeed in infusing emotion and energy into every song on the album, from “Straight Sun” to “Never.”

The video of “never” powerfully accompanies the beautiful harmonies that are layered in the song.

Incorporating other artists such as Lady Leshurr and Zola Jesus, the duo electrifies their CD.

After a year of sell-out performances, the brothers decided to begin working on New Wonky, and by testing it out on audiences, tweaked it until it was just right.  The album was recorded in Orbital’s hometown Brighton and is comprised of the work of multiple different producers.  The album will be featured in Orbital’s upcoming UK tour.
