It has just been announced that Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra has just been added to the lineup.
It seems fitting that a musical celebration that goes by the name Bruise Cruise would have interest in a guy like Biafra. He was the first man ever tried for obscenities on a recorded album. In his post-Kennedys career, Biafra has become the Green Party candidate for Mayor of San Francisco. He’s recently formed a new band called Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine that put out an album entitled Enhanced Methods of Questioning. Aside from his illustrious career in punk and politics, Biafra is also an avid vinyl collector. At Bruise Cruise, the musician will be spinning his favorite records on the cruise to create a blend of soul, garage, surf, and punk cuts with other “incredibly strange surprises”. Biafra will also be hosting a surprise lecture on the cruise, although the contents of his speech are unknown.
