Biohazard to Give New Album Reborn in Defiance Away For Free Starting January 20th

New York hardcore/metal pioneers Biohazard have already defined the music of a generation-now they are teaming up with Revolver Magazine and Repudo to redefine the way that music is distributed to fans. Reborn In Defiance is set to release January 20, and will be given away in its entirety for free to fans in the United States via Revolver’s website, as well as through the technology offered by Repudo.

As previously reported, this will be the band’s sixth studio album and final recording with the original lineup in 18 years. Bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld parted ways with the band in June. The legendary Tony Wright, who has worked with Metallica and Alice in Chains, produced the 13-track album in Los Angeles.

According to Blabbermouth, the promotion is the first of its kind, and capitalizes on our growing reliance on the on-the-go connectivity of smartphones. Users can check into “Containment Zones” (record stores, concert venues etc.) on their smartphones via the Repudo app and download the album for free to their device, or send it to their email inbox for later enjoyment.

BIOHAZARD vocalist/guitarist Billy Graziadei said this regarding the promotion:

When we started, we followed our hearts and innovated a new direction for heavy music, and today we’re doing the same. Technology has allowed us to find a new way to not only reach out to fans but also to thank them for their support all these years. Grab our album for free and we’ll see you on tour!

Fans who still wish to own a physical copy of Born In Defiance can purchase a CD at record stores in conjunction with “Record Store Day” in April and will be loaded with additional content.
