A couple months ago, we reported that a couple of very early Radiohead demos were released by an unknown YouTube user who claims to have known the band back when they attended Abingdon School together. Now, the same user has released another Radiohead circa 1986 song, entitled “Fat Girl”.
This song is from the day when Radiohead wasn’t even called Radiohead. They were just some high school kids who were in a band called On A Friday. Jonny Greenwood hadn’t come into their lives yet and little did they know that they would become one of the most powerful bands in the world two decades later. Take a listen, it has a distinct charm to it when you realize how much better off Thom Yorke is now that he no longer tries to replicate Morrissey’s style.
