As previously reported, Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo is releasing his first song-based solo full length album on Matador March 20, entitled Between the Times and Tides, on LP, CD and digital formats. “Off The Wall” is the first cut from this album. Download it for free after the jump:
“Off the Wall” can also be found on 2012 Intended Play Sampler which is due out on Matador/True Panther on January 17. The song deviates slightly from the eccentric familiarity of Ranaldo’s previous tunes, with “Off the Wall” being built around catchy, melodic hooks and shimmery, reverb drenched guitars.
