Psychedelic San Francisco rockers Sleepy Sun have announced plans to release new LP, Spine Hits, from The End Records on April 10. The group is also set to embark on limited U.S. tour with stops in Santa Cruz, Kansas City, and Denver throughout March.
Sleepy Sun has so far released two full-length albums, Embrace in 2009 and Fever in 2010. The group has also put in their time on the road, winning acclaim for their live shows during their multiple tours of 2009. The group has also embarked on several opening act tours with string of dates with Arctic Monkeys, The Black Angels, and Low Anthem.
Outlets like Spin are touting the album as “head-pummeling Black Sabbath metal and head-tripping Flaming Lips psychadelia on top of Fleet Foxes folk.” Have look at tracks for their previous album here, and look for full tour dates and the Spine Hits tracklist below.
