Cambodian and American rock band Dengue Fever and Secret Chiefs 3 have confirmed a co-headlining spring 2012 tour in Western U.S. in January and February, beginning January 23 in Denver at the Bluebird Theater and ending February 10 at the Rickshaw Theater in Vancouver.
Dengue Fever is coming hot off of a tour of South East Asia, made possible by a grant from the U.S. State Department and U.S. Embassies in Cambodia.The band also released their fourth studio album, Cannibal Courtship for Concord Music Group/Fantasy Records. Plans to create their own record label in the new year are in the works.
Secret Chiefs 3 and Dengue Fever have a history, with found Trey Spruance releasing Dengue’s first studio album in 2003 on his label, Web of Mimicry. In 1994, Dengue Fever guitarist and Chiefs’ drummer Danny Heifitz were members in legendary bay area band Dieselhead.
Secret Chiefs 3 have also made available a 2 track digital album available for purchase here, featuring the songs Ishraqiyun “Saptarshi” , and FORMS “Radar”.
