Eric Avery, the former bassist from Jane’s Addiction, has just reported that his solo record is about finished up. Though he no longer plays with Jane’s Addiction, he is still creating thoughtful, deeply atmospheric music.
First solo record, Help Wanted, came out in 2007 and was well-received by fans and critics alike. Fans were thrilled when he rejoined Jane’s Addiction in 2008, but it was not meant to last, and Avery left the band again in 2010. As of a couple weeks ago, Avery Tweeted, “could it be that i am actually fucking finishing today? just a bit more on a cover song im doing and thats it. solo record done.” Although details regarding the release of this record have not yet been released, the meticulous recording process is finally finished and more announcements are sure to follow soon.
