Plants and Animals Announce New Album The End of That for February 2012 Release

Montreal indie rocker trio Plants and Animals are set to release their latest album, The End of That from Secret City on February 28. Listen to a track from the upcoming release after the jump.

The trio, comprised of Warren C. Spicer, Nic Basque and Matthew ‘Woodman’ Woodley, released two EPs, Plants and Animals (2005) and With/Avec (2007), and two full-length studio albums, Parc Avenue (2008) and La La Land (2010).

The End of That will diverge from the group’s previous efforts, owing mainly to its composition. Whereas Parc Avenue and La La Land were mainly developed in-studio, The End of That was largely written and developed before the group hit the studio.

The album was recorded in La Frette studios outside of Paris with the help of Lionel Darenee of Feist, and demonstrates a return to the piano and guitar sounds that will make fans of their early acoustic work happy.
