Bowerbirds Announce New Album The Clearing For March 2012 Release

North Carolina folk group Bowerbirds have announced their newest album, The Clearing, due out on March 6. The group will also embark on a series of North American tour dates, starting with a March 17 performance in North Carolina.

The Clearing will be Bowerbirds’ third full-length studio album following 2007’s Hymns for Dark Horse, and 2009’s Upper Air. The duo also released an EP, Danger at Sea in 2006.

The Raleigh, North Carolina folk trio, comprised of Phillip Moore, Beth Tacular, and Mark Paulson, have experienced steady success, with positive critical reception and a supporting gig for fellow folkies The Mountain Goats.
