With the recent release of the massive score for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo out of the way now, Trent Reznor revealed to the UK tabloid the Sun that his industrial rock brainchild NIN is far from being dormant, and that his energies in 2012 will be dedicated to writing, and possibly releasing full length album, according to One Thirty BPM.
Reznor told the Sun, “It started to feel like if I didn’t force myself into a change I would regret it. It’s a fear of not wanting to try things because you’re in a comfort zone. I always think about my hero David Bowie and his fearlessness to destroy something that isn’t ready to break yet and start something new”.
As previously reported, Reznor has been entertaining rumors of his side project How to Destroy Angels releasing a buzzed about full length album in 2012, but was unable to confirm any upcoming projects with NIN. It now seems as if HTDA will be temporarily take a back seat whilst Reznor prepares for NIN.
