The family of musician Cory Smoot has set up an online donation for willing fans to cope with his recent passing. Read on to find out how you can help.
Cory Smoot, better known as his guitarist alter ego, Flattus Maximus, of the thrash metal group GWAR passed away on November 3 of this year. In remembrance of his life, and more so in support of his wife and unborn child, his family has set up donation site asking fans to help. The band were on their “Return of the World Maggot Tour” when the guitarist was found dead on the tour bus. Read more about the details in our previous story here.
Smoot had been a member of GWAR since 2002. He accepted the bestowal of the character Flattus from former member, Zach Blair. The band is continuing their tour despite this loss and wishes his family the best.
