FEAR To Play SXSW 2012 and Announce Black Friday Release of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas 7″

Legendary and formative punk rock group FEAR’s forthcoming Christmas album Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas 7” will be released in indie record outlets as a digital and vinyl exclusive on retail Black Friday.  The group will also make an appearance at this year’s SXSW, and have announced plans for an ambitious tour schedule.

The group will also release The Rerecord on the End Records label in early 2012. This re-recording of their 1982 effort The Record revisits their critically acclaimed debut album. The group, along with the Sex Pistols, has been credited with helping to shape the sound of hardcore punk in America.

The holiday album will feature frontman Lee Ving and FEAR performing the title track and charming B-side “Another Christmas Beer.”
