European electronica artist Porcelain Raft, aka Mauro Remiddi, recently announced that he will release his debut album, Strange Weekend, on January 24 via Secretly Canadian. Additionally, he will be kicking off tour with M83 in support of the effort.
A highly anthemic record, Strange Weekend is driven by Remiddi’s almost androgynous voice gliding above musical accompaniment provided by The Alessi Brothers, Julee Cruise, Judee Sill and Nick Gilder. The result is a highly moody, almost gothic representation of electronic pop.
The tracklisting for Strange Weekend is as follows:
Drifting In And Out
Shapeless & Gone
Is It Too Deep For You?
Put Me To Sleep
Backwords
Unless You Speak From Your Heart
The End Of Silence
If You Have A Wish
