English post-disco rockers Friendly Fires recently premiered video for the track “Hurting,” which comes from the band’s second release, Pala. Check out the video after the jump.
Directed by special effects expert David Lewandowski, the “Hurting” video was produced by Friendly Fires frontman Ed Macfarlane. The track itself was recorded primarily in New York, an element that comes through on the track largely through the contribution from the Harlem Gospel Choir present in the song.
“Hurting” is an unlikely but successful departure for Friendly Fires, as it features a more soulful, big sound in comparison to other high energy singles such as “Hawaiian Air” and “Live Those Days Tonight”
