Sleepy Sun Recording New Album For Spring 2012 Release

Indie group Sleepy Sun is recording their third album, due for release in Spring 2012. They just signed with The End Records and are starting a North American tour in promotion of the new LP.

Aiming for an April 2012 release date, according to their website’s news page, Sleepy Sun are hard at work recording their yet-to-be-titled third album. They have already received praise for their debut and sophomore albums. From URB Magazine: “Their second-full length record is an earthy, brazen affair simultaneously speaking to the romantic idealist and weary traveler.”

The band will remain signed with ATP Recordings when working in the UK and in other parts of Europe. Here in the U.S. they will record in California at Rancho de la Luna. Sleepy Sun will be collaborating with producers like Dave Catching (who has also worked with Queens of the Stone Age), and music engineer Ethan Allen, who works out of New Orleans at the Daniel Lanois‘ Kingsway studio.

In promotion for the album here are some confirmed tour dates from the band:

12/03-Verdi Club-San Francisco, CA
12/04-Cellar Door-Visalia, CA
