St. Vincent has recently released a video for “Year of the Tiger” from her 2011 release Strange Mercy (4AD) as part of the label’s popular and highly stylized 4AD Sessions. Check out “Year of The Tiger” and St. Vincent’s full 4AD session after the jump:
St. Vincent is multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter Annie Erin Clark, a former member of the Polyphonic Spree as well as touring member of Sufjan Stevens’ touring band. “Year of The Tiger” is a song with atmosphere; the crisp sound of the piano is contrasted by the fat, distorted tone of her guitar and her delightfully husky voice.
