The musical lineup for the 26th South by Southwest Music Festival has been announced and the bill is staggering, already 105 acts have been invited to the 2012 festival. However, expect more to be added to the bill as showcase applications for musical acts ends Friday.
UPDATE 1: A second round of performing bands has been announced.
UPDATE 2: A third round of performing bands has been announced.
UPDATE 3: A fourth round of performing bands has been announced.
UPDATE 4: A fifth round of performing bands has been announced.
UPDATE 5 – 2/24: A sixth round of performing bands has been announced.
Though the lineup is tentative and subject to change as musical acts are added, the 105 act bill released by SXSW for 2012 represents their list of invited acts. Expect more to be added in the coming weeks and months as applications for showcase performers are still being accepted, with the possibility that due to unforeseen circumstances some of the announced acts may not be able to attend as planned at this time.
The festival will run for 10 days from March 9 – 18, 2012.
