Announced Monday, The Fun Fun Fun Fest and Pitchfork have agreed to broadcast each of the four stages for the 6th annual Austin music festival over the internet. This partnership will mark the first time that those unable to attend the music festival in Texas can still see the show.
With a stream feed dedicated to each stage, fans around the world with an internet connection will be able to enjoy their taste in music from the festival.
Pitchfork has produced a number of live streams in recent years, and we’re thrilled to be producing the Fun Fun Fun Fest live stream this year, for the first time bringing the festival to music fans outside of Austin, said Pitchfork President Chris
Kaskie.
Granting the ability to toggle seamlessly from one feed to another, Pitchfork is setting up a system through which those connected to the Live Stream can view and switch to whichever stage they want to without having to open four separate browser windows or tabs. Coinciding with the genre-specific stages, fans will be able to see the Indie / Pop / Electro, Punk and Metal, Hip Hop, or Comedy / Spoken Word stages throughout the duration of the festival.
The Fun Fun Fun Fest will run from Nov. 4 – 6 in Austin Texas, and will stream live on Pitchfork for the entire festival.
