Berlin-based digital hardcore group Atari Teenage Riot have chosen an unconventional approach to creating music videos for their latest single, ‘Black Flags,” calling on fans for video lip-sync contributions.

Atari Teenage Riot has asked fans to send in footage of themselves lip-syncing to the single with a black flag in the background. In a second edit, the group pulls from clips from Occupy Wall Street, the 99 percenters movement, and hacker group Anonymous.
The video’s political saturation is in-step with the group’s highly-political, anarchist, anti-fascist, anti-Nazi leanings fused with punk vocals and the emerging techno phenomenon, digital hardcore.
The group is coming off of the recent releases of a single, “Activate,” and the 2011 full-length album, Is This Hyperreal? They’ve also begun their own record label, Digital Hardcore Recordings.
