Doomtree Announce No Kings Album for Release on November 22

Hip-hop collective Doomtree, out of Minneapolis, MN, have announced  No Kings, which is due November 22.  For the last several years, individual members have been working on solo material but to our excitement, they got together to create a new collaboration record.

Expect the true sound of collaboration from No Kings.  The group consists of P.O.S., Dessa (featured above), Sims, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger.  This creates the sound of seven musicians from distinct backgrounds and interests coming together to create a product diverse in sound.

From even a quick trip to their website, it becomes clear that this group is more of a collective than anything else.  Individual works by each of the musicians stream on their site, but every once and a while, we get the pleasure of hearing a collaborative effort from the diverse talents that make Doomtree.  No Kings, a title which addresses this very  communal spirit where no talent is assigned more worth than next, should be a demonstration on what can be done when creative minds come together for the sake of music.

You can hear their new track, “The Grand Experiment,” over at Wired.
